The base engine employed for the 2012 Toyota Camry is a 2.5-liter inline-4 engine that can deliver up to 169 horsepower. Meanwhile, the SE version comes with the same engine but can produce up to 179 horsepower. There are two transmission choices for the base model: six-speed manual and six-speed automatic.
