Ms. Robison treated my wife with respect, didn't patronize her or talk down to her about the service her car needed, and in general was vastly different in terms of interaction than most of the men my wife interacts with when she's out there. If you are looking for a truck that will tow heavy loads, the 2011 Toyoto Tundra equipped with the 5.7-liter V-8 engine has the grunt to get the job done. The 5.7 isn't the biggest in terms of horsepower in its class, but it remains a champ for towing thanks to its 4.30 axle ratio and a well-sorted six-speed automatic transmission.

The 2011 Toyota Tundra V-8 uses an overhead-camshaft, four-valve-per-cylinder to produce peak horsepower earlier in the torque band and at a lower rpm than the competitor’s engines. And this is where you want it if you are pulling heavy loads. On the road, 90 percent of the torque is available from 2400 rpm to 5500 rpm. The 5.7-liter V-8 is a great engine when you need the power. It is very responsive when quick acceleration is needed, smooth and powerful when cruising at highway speeds. It is best in class for handling altitude and hills.  The Tundra 5.7-liter has more than enough pulling power and appropriate gearing. The Tundra often outruns the competition while getting better fuel economy.
